Tranquille on the Lake is situated in the heart of beautiful British Columbia’s southern interior just a few kilometres from downtown Kamloops. Tranquille is set in a lush scenic valley, at the confluence of the North Thompson River and the South Thompson River.
The City of Kamloops is the metropolitan hub of the Thompson, Nicola and Shuswap economic district with about 85,000 people residing within its municipal boundaries.
The name Kamloops comes from the First Nations word Kahm-o-loops, meaning meeting of the waters. This confluent root of the name Kamloops is apt, as the Trans-Canada Highway, the Yellowhead Highway, Highway 97 and the two national railroads (CN and CP) all converge here, providing excellent visitor access to the Kamloops area and to Tranquille.
The development comprises 471 acres of farm and waterfront property within the western boundary of the city limits of Kamloops. Tranquille is a 5 minute drive west from the airport and a 20 minute congestion free commute from downtown Kamloops.
